Open invitations to happenings at the Labyrinth:
April, 2005:
Mid-April through mid-May: Alameda Whipsnake Feeding
Frenzy at the Labyrinth - Don't
miss the annual feeding frenzy at the pond at the north end
of the Labyrinth. Around the first two weeks in May, Alameda
Whipsnakes of the area migrate to the pond to hunt and
devour on maturing (and plump!) Tiger Salamander, as well as
Pacific Tree Frog, tadpoles. Prepare to be amazed by the color
saturation of Alameda Whipsnakes when seen under water, as well as
their voracious appetites.
